Sharp Artisanclaims review for Chapter 13 counsel

Northern District of Georgia: the claims-review certification

N.D. Ga., Amended and Restated General Order 42-2020, Exhibit A (Rights and Responsibilities), item 13: "On or before 60 days after the general bar date, certify the attorney has reviewed claims with Debtor, prepared, filed and served objections to improper or invalid claims and filed claims within 30 days after the bar date" for creditors whose failure to file would hurt the case or the debtor after discharge. Read the order.

General Order 41-2020, § 5.0: unless the plan permits a post-confirmation objection in a nonstandard provision, an objection to a non-governmental secured claim "must be filed before confirmation of the plan if the objection challenges the validity, perfection, or avoidability of the lien securing the claim or the amount of the secured claim based on the value of the property"; other objections may come before or after confirmation. Read the order.
